Bloggersideas.io
Software, tested by bloggers.
Bloggersideas.io today announced that it has acquired MegaBlogging, the long-running publication covering blogging platforms, hosting, and SEO software. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The acquisition brings MegaBlogging’s decade-deep archive of tutorials, tool breakdowns, and buying guides into the Bloggersideas directory, where every recommendation is tied to hands-on testing and a scoring framework published on the page it appears on. For readers, the practical result is one place to look instead of two — and one standard behind the answer.
Why MegaBlogging
MegaBlogging built its audience the slow way: by explaining tools its writers actually ran, and by keeping the affiliate machinery out of the verdict. That is the same premise Bloggersideas was built on, which is what made the two catalogs fit together rather than compete. Where MegaBlogging is strongest — hosting, WordPress workflows, on-page SEO — it fills real gaps in our coverage.
“We were never going to out-publish the content farms, and we never wanted to. Joining Bloggersideas means our guides get re-tested on a schedule instead of aging quietly — which is what readers actually needed from us.”
What changes for MegaBlogging readers
Over the coming weeks, MegaBlogging articles will move to Bloggersideas.io with permanent redirects from their original URLs. Nothing is being deleted. Buying guides are re-tested against our weighted criteria before they are republished, so a migrated ranking is a current ranking — not an old one wearing a new logo.
Every URL keeps working
The full MegaBlogging archive is being migrated with permanent redirects. Bookmarks, backlinks, and shared links resolve to the same article on its new home.
Editorial independence stays
Migrated guides are re-tested against our published scoring criteria before they carry a Bloggersideas verdict. Commercial relationships never move a score.
The writing team comes along
MegaBlogging's editors join the Bloggersideas newsroom and keep ownership of the categories they have covered for years.
“Buying software is expensive to get wrong. Two independent archives, one testing methodology, and quarterly re-tests is simply a better answer for the reader than two half-maintained libraries.”
What is not changing
Scores stay separated from commerce. Affiliate links and sponsorships are disclosed and have no influence on a ranking or a verdict, exactly as described in our published methodology. Reviews still require verification and human moderation before they appear. Vendors can respond to a review; they can never edit or remove one.
Integration timeline
August 2026
Deal closes, announcement goes live
MegaBlogging becomes part of Bloggersideas.io. Both sites continue to operate exactly as they do today while migration planning starts.
September – October 2026
Archive migration and re-testing
Articles move over in batches, each mapped to a permanent redirect. Buying guides are re-tested hands-on before republication so nothing carries a stale verdict.
November 2026
One directory, one methodology
Merged categories relaunch under the Bloggersideas scoring framework, with verified reviews and comparison tables across the combined catalog.
Ongoing
Quarterly re-tests
The combined library enters our standard re-test cycle so rankings reflect the software as it is now, not as it was at launch.
Questions we expect
What happens to MegaBlogging.com articles?
Every article is being migrated to Bloggersideas.io with a permanent 301 redirect from its original URL. Nothing is being deleted, and existing links will continue to resolve.
Will MegaBlogging keep publishing under its own name?
MegaBlogging will wind down as a separate brand once migration completes. Its editors and their coverage areas continue under the Bloggersideas masthead.
Do MegaBlogging's rankings carry over unchanged?
No. Migrated buying guides are re-tested against the weighted criteria published on each Bloggersideas category page before they carry a verdict, so scores are consistent across the combined directory.
I am a vendor listed on MegaBlogging. What should I do?
Claim your Bloggersideas listing so your pricing, features, and screenshots stay accurate through the migration. Claiming a listing never affects a score.
What were the financial terms of the acquisition?
The terms of the transaction are not being disclosed.
