Buyer’s guide

Completion rate is the only metric

A form exists to be finished. Design that raises completion by ten points is worth more than any feature on a comparison table, which is why the one-question-at-a-time format keeps winning despite being slower to fill in.

The four questions that decide it

  • How many responses will you take? Almost every plan meters monthly submissions, and this is where free tiers end abruptly.
  • Do you need logic? Branching, calculations, and hidden fields turn a form into an application or a quote tool. Below that, any builder will do.
  • Where do responses go? Native integration with your email platform, sheet, or CRM saves a Zap and a monthly fee.
  • Who owns the data? If you are collecting personal information, check hosting location, retention, and whether the vendor processes it.

The honest default

For a contact form or a simple lead magnet, the form builder inside your email or site platform is usually enough. Buy a dedicated tool when the form is doing real work — qualification, applications, research.
