Buyer’s guide
Hosting is a solved problem; analytics are not
Every host here reliably stores audio and distributes an RSS feed. The real differences are in measurement quality, whether pricing punishes you for uploading more, and how many shows one subscription covers.
The four questions that decide it
- Are the analytics IAB-certified? Certified measurement filters bots and partial downloads. It is what sponsors expect to see, and uncertified numbers will be discounted.
- How is storage billed? Some hosts cap upload hours per month, others charge on total downloads. Long-form shows and popular shows hit different ceilings.
- How many shows? If you plan more than one, per-show pricing gets expensive quickly — some platforms include unlimited shows on one plan.
- Do you need private or paid podcasts? Members-only feeds are a real monetisation route and are not universally supported.
Do not over-buy at launch
A new show with fifty listeners needs reliable hosting and nothing else. Dynamic ad insertion, private feeds, and advanced attribution matter once there is an audience to monetise — not before.
