How we test and rate software
Trust is the only thing a directory really sells. Here is exactly how our ratings, reviews, and rankings are produced.
We test hands-on
Editors run each tool on real workloads — building a list, running an audit, shipping a post. We do not score software we have not used.
We score consistently
Every category uses weighted dimensions published on the category page. Scores combine editorial testing with verified user ratings.
We verify every review
Reviews require business-email or LinkedIn verification and pass automated integrity checks before human moderation. Nothing publishes unmoderated.
We separate commerce
Affiliate relationships and sponsorships never influence a score, a ranking, or a verdict. Sponsored placements are always labeled.
Editorial scoring
Each category defines weighted dimensions — for example, email marketing is scored on deliverability (30%), automation (25%), ease of use (20%), value (15%), and support (10%). Weightings are published on every category page so you can judge whether our priorities match yours.
Review integrity
Reviews are submitted in a pending state and never appear until a human moderator approves them. We run automated checks for duplicate submissions, disposable email domains, and spam signals, and we store only a hashed IP — never a raw address. Vendors may publicly respond to a review, but can never edit or remove one.
Re-testing and freshness
Software changes. We re-test category leaders quarterly and re-verify pricing on every update. Each review shows when it was last fact-checked and by whom.
How we make money
Some links on Bloggersideas are affiliate links, and some placements are sponsored. Both are always disclosed. Our editorial team sets rankings independently of any commercial relationship — a vendor cannot buy a score, a badge, or a better position.
