Our verdict

Ottokit is the right automation tool when the things you want to connect are WordPress plugins rather than SaaS products.

Where it wins. Native access is the advantage. A form submission, a course completion, a membership renewal, or a WooCommerce order can trigger a workflow without an API, a webhook, or a connector that may not exist. It covers the major plugin ecosystems — WooCommerce, LearnDash, MemberPress, Elementor, and the popular form builders — with proper triggers rather than generic hooks. Pricing is a flat plan rather than per-task metering, which for a busy store is dramatically cheaper than the mainstream connectors.

Where it falls short. Outside WordPress the integration catalogue is modest next to n8n or Zapier, so a workflow that never touches your site is better built elsewhere. Because it runs on your site, heavy automation consumes your own hosting resources, and a badly built loop can affect page performance. It is a young product and the newer integrations are noticeably less polished than the core ones.

Our call. Buy it if WordPress is the centre of your business. Use a general platform for everything else.

Best for

WordPress site owners automating plugin events — forms, memberships, courses, and WooCommerce orders.

Key takeaways

  • 1Reads plugin data directly — no API or webhook needed
  • 2Proper triggers for WooCommerce, LearnDash, MemberPress, and form builders
  • 3Flat pricing rather than per-task metering
  • 4Modest integration catalogue outside WordPress
  • 5Automations consume your own hosting resources
  • 6Newer integrations are less polished than the core set

Ottokit automates WordPress from the inside. Because it runs as a plugin rather than an external connector, it can see form submissions, membership events, WooCommerce orders, and LMS progress directly — the plugin data that external tools can only reach if a public API happens to exist.

Frequently asked questions

What was Ottokit called before?

SureTriggers. The product was renamed to Ottokit; existing accounts, automations, and integrations carried over unchanged.

Why use this instead of Zapier for WordPress?

Because it runs inside WordPress and can read plugin events directly — form submissions, course completions, membership renewals — without needing a public API or webhook that may not exist.

Does it slow down my site?

Automations consume your own hosting resources, so heavy or badly built workflows can affect performance. Keep loops tight and avoid running expensive work on every page load.

Can it connect to non-WordPress apps?

Yes, but the catalogue is modest next to n8n or Zapier. Workflows that never touch your WordPress site are better built elsewhere.
