CyberGhost competes on scale. Its server network is among the largest anywhere and it maintains locations labelled for specific streaming platforms, which removes the connect-and-retry cycle. Romania imposes no data-retention obligation, and the 45-day refund window on longer plans is the most generous in the category.

Where they separate. CyberGhost's independent audit record is less consistent, and its ownership by Kape Technologies is a fair thing for privacy-focused buyers to weigh. Both advertise low rates that require multi-year commitments and renew far higher — budget for the renewal price, not the headline.
